John D. Greenfield passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at his residence with family by his side. He was 91.
John was born on May 18, 1927 in Philadelphia, to the late John and Irma (Simon) Greenfield. He served our country with the Army Air Corps in the Phillipines toward the end of World War II. John loved photography, model trains, and sharing anecdotes from the Reader's Digest- especially the "Laughter is the Best Medicine" section. He was a long-time member of the Parish of All Saints Rhawnhurst, where he served as a Vestryman, Choir Member and Lay Reader.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Elsie (Doerper) Greenfield, and his son Richard. He is survived by his children John (Terri), Kathy (Mark) Andrews, and Ken (Michelle); grandchildren Christina (Richard), John Jr., Brandon, Ashley, Brian, Megan, Jennifer, Joseph, Zachary, Nikolas and Matthew; and great grandchildren Teagan, Zariah, Tierney, Damien, Caelan, Dakota, Karsyn and Rowan.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM, at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home, 9529 Bustleton Ave., Phila., PA 19115. Masonic Service at 10:45 AM. Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment and Military Honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in John's name may be made to All Saints Rhawnhurst, 1811 Loney St., Phila., PA 19111.
