Herbert G. Ganssloser

Herbert G. Ganssloser passed away on March 9, 2019. He was 87.

Herb was a resident of the Philadelphia Protestant Home for 11 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Martha C. (Ehlers); loving father to Diane Groeber (Steve) and Susan Fox (Larry); cherished grandfather to Ric Groeber, Tricia Groeber Zabel (John), Laura Fox Bono (Chris), and Ryan Fox.

Herb graduated from Northeast High School in 1949. He was drafted into the US Army in 1952. He left the Army with an honorable discharge in 1954. In 1955 he married Martha, the love of his life.

Herb started his work career for Bell Telephone (Verizon), retiring in 1986 after 30 years of service. As a young boy he loved soccer and fistball. Later in life he played golf, tennis, and became an avid bowler, playing in 2 leagues.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Friday March 15, 2019 from 9 to 10 AM, followed by Funeral Service at 10 AM, at the Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home, 9529 Bustleton Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19115. Interment and Military Honors at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA.
