Helen Kuropas

Helen Kuropas, a resident of Northeast Philadelphia, died Thursday, June 20, 2019.  She was 88.

Born in Borynia, Ukraine, Helen was the daughter of the late Karol and Ludriga (Mrotchko) Reznichek.  

She had emigrated to the United States and settled in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. She married her husband Walter in 1973 and they moved to Northeast Philadelphia where they had lived for the last 45 years.  Helen was employed as a dietary technician in the health field for many years before retiring.

Helen's husband Walter died in 2018; she is survived by her sister Yanna, two nieces and a nephew.

Her viewing will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church.  Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 AM.  Entombment will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA.
