Obituary 

Mr. Easo Zachariah 

Mr. Easo Zachariah was born on August 6, 1942 to the Kalathur House in Kanjirappally, Kerala, India. He is the eldest child of the late Mr. K. E. Zachariah and Mariarnma Zachariah. He has three brothers and three sisters. 

He grew up and studied in Mylapra, Kerala. He excelled in his studies and had a passion for reacting. In 1964 he moved to Bihar and was employed in the Bihar Steel Plant. He returned to Kerala and married Saramma (Thomas) from the Kochumamoottil House, Thalavady on November 16, 1972. They were blessed with a daughter, Beena, on January 11, 1974. 

In 1977, Saramma Easo emigrated to the United States to pursue her nursing career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1978, Easo Zachariah and Beena also emigrated to the United States to join with Saramma. They became active members of the MarThoma Church of Philadelphia. He proudly retired from a Philadelphia clothing factory where he worked as a machine operator. 

His hobbies included reading books and newspapers, watching sports and malayalam movies, and going on vacations. He had a great sense of humor and brought smiles to everyone. He loved his wife and doted on his daughter. He was especially fond of spending time with his extended family. He was a good son, responsible elder brother, devoted husband, and loving father. He held a very special place in his heart for his three grandchildren and cherished his role as their grandfather. 

He led a humble life characterized by his faith in God and devotion to family. 

Easo Zachariah is survived by his wife, Saramma; daughter Beena; son-in-law Shibu; three grandchildren: Daniel, Divya and Dhanya. 
Siblings: Thomas Zachariah, Mathew Zachariah, Abraham Zachariah, (late) Sosamma Mathew, Mariamma Abraham, and Rachel Philip.
