Theodore Skulsky Obituary

Ted (Bohdan) Skulsky passed away on April 10th, 2024 with his children by his side.
He was born outside of Stuttgart, Germany in 1945 and came to Philadelphia with his mother Julia in 1958, where he was reunited with his older brother, Ostap.  He excelled in soccer and made lifetime friends with many of his teammates at both Roman Catholic High and Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences.
He lived a colorful life, the most important chapters being his marriage to Irene Skulsky in 1968, the birth of his children Darko and Taisa, and his grandchildren, Sonya, Teddy, Lucia and Armen.  He was also unusually fond of his son-in-law, Borys.
He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, friend and most of all as someone who loved to have a good time.  He loved to play cards, especially if some money was involved.  He loved drinking a Corona on the deck in the summer.  He loved a fancy car and treated himself to many.  He loved making a good joke, and was blessed with a quick wit.  He loved to dress sharp and always had style.  He loved to spoil the people around him, and never shied away from a tab.  He loved and fought fiercely.  He was one of a kind and he will be missed.

Ted's family will greet friends on Thursday at 10 AM at Annunciation BVM Ukrainian Catholic Church.  Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.  Burial will follow at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.

Donations in Ted's memory may be made to Razom for Ukraine or Ukrainian National Women's League of America (Branch 95) Stand With Ukraine.
