Roman Nyz Obituary

Roman J. Nyz, (60), of Fairless Hills, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 3, 2024.

Roman was born to Ilko and Olga Nyz on May 1, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA.  He grew up in Northern Liberties on American Street, moved to Fariston Drive upon his marriage, relocated to Glen Allen, Virginia, before finally settling in Fairless Hills, PA.  Throughout his career, Roman always chose to work where he could interact with people.

Roman was a caring person who always wanted to put a smile on everyone’s face.  Making people happy gave him great satisfaction.  Befitting his personality and his knowledge base, Roman spent many years in Warranty/Construction Management, Quality Assurance and Property Management.  If someone had a problem, he had the solution - more than one, usually.  He knew how to do just about everything when it came to carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, roofing and COOKING. His advice and recommendations were always in high demand.

Despite whatever the world threw at him, he never lost his sense of humor. Roman enjoyed doing for others and would always offer his help and support to anyone in need, especially those considered family.  He could strike up a conversation with anyone and talk for hours, especially to family.  Anyone who knew Roman knew that family meant everything to him.

Roman leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends.  A lover of animals, an innovator and inventor, a loyal and hard worker, and an overall kind, gentle and genuine soul, Roman will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and most of all, someone whose heart was as big as the sun!

Roman was predeceased by his oldest son, Anthony F. Nyz and his parents, Ilko and Olga.   He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Sharon, and his youngest son, Adam.  He is also survived by his sisters: Oksana Lovinfosse & husband, Joseph; Irene Pawlish & husband, Gerald; Dorothy Kirby & husband, Stephen; Myra Mezei and husband, Otto; his parents-in-law, Anthony and Virginia Judak; and his sister-in-law, Eileen Blake along with aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, family will receive friends beginning at 8:30 AM at  St. Frances Cabrini Church in Fairless Hills, PA.  His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM. Interment private.
